Suture Zone is an initiative of Canadian artist Adam Strange. Suture Zone has been created to fill a perceived gap in the art world in which artists with a message are caught in a space of galleries not addressing global, political and existential issues or a lack of media outlets for promotion and dissemination of critical artistic responses to the despotism growing in the world.

A suture zone refers to a linear belt formed by the convergence of two tectonic plates, frequently leading to a wealth of mineral diversity and distinctive geological characteristics. At Suture Zone, we aspire to document the wealth of cultural slag that forms when momentous events take place. We seek to show the work that falls through the cracks, the results of abrasive forces of any system whether physical or mental, on the artist's point of view.
