Most of my art is print based or digital. This note design came about whilst I was exploring oil and the current crisis in the Middle East. The 3 cyanotype fuel pumps can be seen on the note which is $100 to reflect the price spike. By putting Trumps face on Franklin he looks like a pirate which mirrors his behaviour. The clock of Independence Hall lands on his forehead by splicing the note to show alternate sides- a foreboding sign of this glitching Presidency. This was inspired by Ed Ruscha, Banksy and Cildo Meireles.

‘Ghosted' explores a printer running out of ink as a metaphor for absence and disconnection, evoking the emotional residue of communication breakdowns. This was inspired by Morandi, Thiebaud and Warhol. The original large version is on paper, there is a C-type Fuji gloss and video version on a retro 80’s TV.
